Simple Pot Roast Recipe (3 Ingredients)
Ingredients:

Beef roast (such as chuck roast, around 3-4 lbs)

One packet of onion soup mix (or a packet of dry ranch dressing mix for a different flavor)

1 cup of beef broth (or water if you don’t have broth)

Prepare the roast:

Place the beef roast in the bottom of your pot (slow cooker or Dutch oven).

Add the soup mix:

Sprinkle the onion soup mix (or ranch dressing mix) evenly over the top of the roast.

Add the broth:

Pour the beef broth around the roast. If you’re using a slow cooker, make sure the broth covers the bottom of the roast for moist cooking.

Cook:

Slow Cooker Method: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the roast is tender and easily shreds.

Dutch Oven Method: Cover and cook at 325°F (163°C) for about 3-4 hours until the roast is fork-tender.

Once the roast is done, remove it from the pot and let it rest before slicing or shredding. You can serve it with mashed potatoes, veggies, or over rice.
